Anusha Kenny


ANUSHA KENNY is an independent arts writer and lawyer. Her arts writing has been published by Discipline, un Magazine, Art & Australia, Artlink, and The Age. Anusha has curated several exhibitions at artist-run spaces, including at Footscray Community Arts Centre and Gertrude Contemporary, and was on West Space’s programming committee until 2015. She is an alumnus of Next Wave’s Emerging Curators’ Program, Gertrude Contemporary Art Spaces and Art & Australia’s Emerging Writer’s Program, and Platform Artists Group’s Emerging Curator’s Program.

Anusha works as a Senior Legal Policy Officer at the Sentencing Advisory Council, and is a volunteer lawyer at Fitzroy Legal Service’s free legal advice service. At the Sentencing Advisory Council, Anusha has co-authored several reports on criminal sentencing law and policy in Victoria, most notably Sentencing Guidance in Victoria. She is particularly interested in writing about the intersections of law, politics, and culture, and is currently completing her Masters of Law at Monash University.
